While most of the U.S. is still feeling Winter’s last powerful gasps, Spring has sprung here in AZ.  We may even have record heat here today.  As I walked to work this morning so comfortable in the warmth of the pre-season sun, I was reminded of, what else, an old movie, “It Happens Every Spring” with Ray Milland.
Ray is a college professor whose scientific experiments are interrupted by a serendiptous baseball.  He ends up with a mysterious liquid that, when applied to said baseball, causes it to repel, among other things, wood.  Ray, naturally, takes leave of his professorial mindset and becomes the strike out king of major league baseball, much to the dismay of himself and everyone around him.

It seems to me, that, each year as we come out of our hibernation we can sense in the signs of spring  the opportunity to improve our personal situations.  AND when fate inevitably hits our expeirment, we have a chance to strike out in the direction of our true destiny.
