I know.  I know.  It has been almost a month since last I blogged.  Months are such a flaky way to measure time, let us use Weeks instead.  It has actually been 4 weeks since my last entry. 4 weeks is only a month in February and then we screw that up every 4 years.  Don’t get me started on that pagan “Daylight Savings Time” ritual.

Anyway, I made a promise when I started this Blog to provide you with Protent.  And since, “I never lie, Miss Lane”, I offer the paraphrased wisdom of childhood as my rationale, “If you can’t say something positive….”

But here I am again. I have decided to come out of hiding after spending these past 4 weeks exerting what seems to have been ALL of my creative energy on two principal tasks:

1. A Video Celebration of my Mother’s 80th Birthday.  Thank you Dad for preserving all those memories in 8mm and thank you to the Disney and Vegas cast members who added their creative energy to simulating Mom’s presence at the Happiest and Most Decadent places on Earth.  I have to add a special thank you to Sony Vegas Pro Editing software for providing a totally crash free creative experience, heretofore unheard of in the efforts of this PC based video producer.

2. As of yesterday I finalized work on a Software Application called DR Reviewer.  This was strictly an earning a living effort, but required massive amounts of the same Authorian creative energy that generates all my more entertaining productions.  To me, the finished product is a work of art that provides as much pleasure as did the completion of my book and the aforementioned 80th birthday video.

What I have discovered in my absence from this blog is that Creative Energy is a very precious commodity.  When your weekly allocation is spent, you can’t just go buy some more. Instead you need to allow yourself the opportunity to recharge.  It does not take long.  It does not take much.  But each of us must find the power source that renews us, so that when we return to our list of things to do, we will find our store of personal Creativity a little larger and fully stocked.
