I’m late.  I know it.  On Sunday I was playing a hot roulette wheel into the wee hours and I decided to dream about gambling for a living, instead of writing my weekly entry.  Monday was the first day of the National Association of Braodcasters convention and I spent the day walking amongst the hundred thousand or so visitors, wearing an Elsewear T-Shirt with the CSE book cover on it, handing out business cards and giving away free copies of my book to anyone who asked about it.
I also placed three copies of the book in the NAB book store, and found one of them gone a few hours later.  I’ll have to “restock” today.  Schleping a dozen copies of a book and four or five Elsewear garments around a billion miles of trade show floor, takes a lot out of you.  Last night, I just hit some really dead slots and decided to dream about making videos for a living.

So why am I, a mere wannabe author, attending a conference on Broadcasting?  I have four goals:

1. Find some stable, feature rich video editing software that I can use to produce Web TV content.
2. Wander among all the latest and greatest video technology to see what’s new and different and MAYBE the next big thing.
3. Take advantage of the opportunity to promote the Considering SomeplacElse PROcept in a world dominated by people looking for new and different PROtent.
4. Play some of the more traditional games of chance in the casinos.

I’ll publish a few more entries this week to make up for my lapses on Sunday and Monday, but right now I’ve got to meet some Web TV geeks in suits (there’s an image that messes with your head) at the Hiltion Breakfast Buffet.
