One of my all time favorite Twilight Zone episodes has the Devil taking a job as a typesetter in a down but not quite out newspaper. He proceeds to type stories about disasters before they happen in order to scoop all the other papers.
In another flash back there is an old Jimmy Cagney movie, I think it’s “Angels with Dirty Faces” where a street kid is reading about Jimmy’s character in the paper and says something like  “It’s got to be true! It’s in the newspaper and they can’t put it in the newspaper if it ain’t true”
Both of these remembrances came to me as I watched, listened and read stories of  our hopes and fears coming out of Washington this past week.
I then remembered John Kenneth Galbraith coining the term “Word Fact” back in the 80s.  “All you have to do is hear it said three times and it becomes a fact”.

As a writer/author I am very much aware of the power of words and the impact they can have on us individually and collectively.  As I have said before I like to write down my goals and read them every now and then.  Furthermore, each time I read them I am amazed at how much I have accomplished and how many of my word dreams have become fact.

As western society endures an ever increasing barrage of fearful content have some faith in your ability as an individual to write your way out of it.
Sit down right now and create some powerful Protent of your own.  Make your own HEADlines.  Establish your own Word Facts  and you will discover
“It’s got to be true it’s on YOUR list!”
